Thought to Ponder
Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.  Hebrews 13:20-21

We continue to gather as a combined parish on a weekly basis on Wednesday’s to journey with Jesus to the cross. The place of each gathering is as follows:  March 6th at Britton, March 13th at Hecla, March 20th at Claremont. The gatherings on Wednesday will begin at 6:30pm with the meditation/gathering first and then we will share in a light meal for a time of fellowship.

The Mission Team and children of Britton UMC will be focusing on supporting the Solar Oven Project for Haiti. The children will gather an offering of loose change each Sunday during Lent. The goal is to collect enough to buy solar ovens , the cooking equipment and cookbook. A solar oven will be set up in the entryway so you can see what you are supporting. Thank you in advance for supporting this vital mission project for the people of Haiti.

The Britton-Hecla youth group will be going to package meals at Kids Against Hunger in March.  The youth will be working at raising a donation of approximately $600 or more to cover the cost of the food that will be packaged. The youth will be serving the Lenten supper on March 6th in Britton. A free will offering will be accepted to help support this vital mission of feeding those in need in our country and around the world. Thank you in advance for your support of this vital mission project.

A Bible Study will be started at Britton UMC on Wednesday, March 6th at 9:30am. The study is titled “Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed” and is six week study of David. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the entry way for those who would like to participate or let Pastor Nancy know so the appropriate amount of books may be ordered. Everyone is invited to come and be a part of this study. Bring a friend as well.

Support the Marshall Co. Pantry Shelf and the Marshall Co. Healthcare Center Foundation with your Purchase of “Roses……Just Because!” Purchase a dozen long stemmed roses for $25 by March 8th. The flowers will be available for pickup on April 16th at the Marshall Co. Healthcare Center from noon to 5:30pm.  Place your order with Pastor Nancy or Norstar Federal Credit Union, Dizzy Blondz or the Britton library.
