Opportunities to Grow in Faith
Marshall County Ministerial is sponsoring a one day retreat entitled “Walking Thru the Old Testament” on Saturday, March 3rd at First Lutheran Church in Britton, SD. This retreat is for ages kindergarten through fifth grade and for those in sixth grade and adults. This is an interactive study and is fun and will help you grow in your knowledge of the Old Testament. You will be mightily blessed by this retreat. Registration forms are now available for the event on the tables in the entryway. You may also contact Marcia Haaland or Carol Bush for additional information. Childcare will be available at First Presbyterian Church that day. Scholarships are available to help cover the cost of the retreat. 6th grade through adult $20, First grade through 5th grade $15. 

Lenten services will continue each Wednesday through the season of Lent at . The services will rotate between the churches and will be preceded by a light meal. On February 29th the service will be at Britton UMC and on March 7th at Hecla UMC.  All churches are invited and encouraged to participate each week at the host church.

Save the Date: Britton UMW invites you to a Spring Brunch, on Saturday, March 24 at . The guest speaker will be Holly Hoffman, from Eureka, SD, who was a contestant on the TV program “Survivor”. Her message will be inspiring and exciting. There is no cost for the brunch. You are invited to come and be inspired.

Britton UMW will be hosting a Book Browsing & Bake Sale on Saturday, March 10th from at the church. Donations of books may be brought to the church at any time. Signup sheets for the bake sale will be posted in the near future.

  Sign up sheets are posted in the entry way of CUMC and BUMC and on the counter of fellowship hall at HUMC for serving a light meal for the Lenten services. Claremont will host Feb 22nd, Britton on Feb. 29th and Hecla on Mar. 7th. The meal will be served at and worship will be at . There will also be a time of coffee fellowship after the service.

**A Beth Moore Bible Study will begin at Britton UMC on Tuesday, March 13th at and on Wednesday, March 14th at . The study will be on James and is a 8 week study. Please contact Andrea K. if you will be attending to order the workbook.  A Signup sheet is on the bulletin board.

Britton’s World Day of Prayer will be held on Friday, March 2nd at at First Lutheran Church in Britton. All are welcome to come and participate in this opportunity to lift our world in prayer.

Claremont & Langford’s World Day of Prayer will be held on Friday, March 2nd at at Augustana Lutheran Church. Plan on attending and being a part of this time of prayer for our world.

God’s love has produced many miracles, large and small. One of these is the life sustaining power of blood. We have the ability to share this miracle of life; to pass it along to others. The opportunity to share your healthy blood with those less fortunate will be on February 13th, at the Community Building in Britton, SD. Christianity isn’t a spectator religion. We all have jobs to do in God’s kingdom. The body of Christ functions best and most beautifully when all members resolve to serve God and each other to the best of their ability. What are you doing for God’s kingdom and the body of Christ?

Opportunities to Grow in Faith
The BCH Youth Group will meet on February 8th at at Hecla UMC. Plans will be finalized for the ski trip, February 17-20th, at this meeting. Also, an additional adult chaperone is needed to help with transportation and with chaperoning the youth. Please contact Pastor Nancy if you are able to help out with this important ministry to our youth.
