John deBritto Catholic Church is having an Indian Taco Dinner on Thursday, July 28^th from 11AM-1PM. Indian Tacos, walking taco in a tub, fry bread, scotch-a-roo bars and beverages will be available. All proceeds will go to the Marshall County Food Pantry. Delivery of 4 or more orders is available for those living in Britton.

The Spirit Lake Nation Ministry Center is asking for Fry Bread Kits. The kits include 5# flour, 5# sugar, container of baking powder, and 32oz of oil. This is a staple of the Native American diet. We would like to take the kits along on our Mission Trip Aug. 7-10^th. Please bring any part or all of the kits to church by August 4^th. If you would like to donate funds to buy the items that is welcome as well. Basic food items, seasonal clothing, Diapers and baby items are always in need as well. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

July 31^st is the fifth Sunday of the month and on this date we will be receiving a special offering to help with the Mission Trip to Spirit Lake Nation. Funds received with help with the cost of the youth to go, cost of gas for transportation, as well as buying/donating items the Ministry Center is in need of. Thank you in advance for helping with this project.

Britton UMC will be having their VBS beginning Wednesday, August 10^th through the 12^th from 9AM-12Noon for preschool, kindergarten and 1^st graders. The theme this year is “Shake It Up” and promises to be filled with joy and laughter.  The children will be presenting a program during the worship service on August 14^th followed by a picnic lunch. Come and be a part of this awesome time of worship and fellowship lead by the children.

American Cancer Society Support Group will meet on Sunday, July 17^th at 7PM at the Presbyterian Church in Britton. Bonnie Olson will be telling her story.

The UM Youth Mission trip is planned for August 7^th through August 10^th. Adults and young people (13 and older) are invited and encouraged to be a part of this time of serving others. We will leave at approximately 3PM on the 7^th and return on Wednesday morning after breakfast. Please contact Pastor Nancy by July 20^th to reserve your place on the team. Almost all of funds have been raised to cover the cost of the trip.

We will need adults for supervision and to assist with transportation. Spirit Lake Nation Ministry Center is in need of food supplies, clothing and tools. If you have clean, gently used clothing, nonperishable food items or tools you would like to donate, please bring them to the church by August 5^th.

The Fifth Sunday Special Offering on July 31^st will go to help with the mission trip to Spirit Lake Nation August 7-10^th. We will also collect non perishable food items and any tools and gently used or new clothing. Please bring your donations to the church by August 5^th.

Volunteers are being sought to help with beginning the worship services in each church. The volunteer will begin the service by lifting the announcements, leading the congregation in the call to worship and reading scripture. Sign up sheets are on the entryway. Please prayerfully consider helping in this important task. Contact Pastor with any questions/concerns.

The Bishop’s Laity Gathering is on Saturday, July 30^th in Sioux Falls at First United Methodist Church. The topic for the day will be on worship. Volunteers are being sought to attend this Gathering with Pastor Nancy. We will be leaving around 6AM and returning that evening. It’s a wonderful opportunity to hear from a nationally recognized speaker on worship design. The cost is $25 for a team of one pastor and two laity and $10 for each additional person. Wednesday, July 13^th those interested in helping with worship planning are invited to attend a worship planning meeting at 7PM at Britton UMC. Representatives from all churches are encouraged to attend and help with this vital ministry of worship. We will work on planning worship for the next 6-8 weeks.
