Lent officially begins on Ash Wednesday which is February 13, 2013. We will once again gathering on a weekly basis on Wednesday’s to journey with Jesus during this time of reflection and self-evaluation. We will be rotating the services as well. Ash Wednesday will be at Britton UMC, then February 20^th will be at Hecla UMC, February 27^th at Claremont UMC, March 6^th at Britton, March 13^th at Hecla, March 20^th at Claremont. Service times for Holy Week are pending. The gatherings on Wednesday will begin at 6:30pm with the worship first and then we will share in a light meal for a time of fellowship. Plan on being a part of these 40 days leading up to Christ’s Resurrection celebration.

A new Bible Study will be starting on February 13^th for Britton UMC and on February 14^th for Claremont. Britton UMC will meet on Wednesday mornings at 9:30am and Claremont will meet on Thursday mornings at 9:30am. The title of the study is “Faithful, Abundant, True” and is presented by Kay Arthur, Priscilla Shirer, and Beth Moore. This is a 7 week study. Please let Pastor Nancy know as soon as possible if you would like to participate in the study so the appropriate amount of resources may be purchased.

Opportunities to Grow, Serve & Share Your Faith

Marshall County Ministerial invites you to attend a workshop on Saturday, March 2^nd from 9am to mid afternoon at First Lutheran Church in Britton. The workshop is “Walking Through the Bible- New Testament” and is a continuation of the ‘Walk Through the Bible-Old Testament’ that was held March 2012. Mark your calendars and look for additional information in the worship folders, newsletters and emails.

It’d time to update the emails for the prayer chain once again. There are several people on the list; however  there may still be some who would like to be a part of it. If you would like to be on the email prayer chain please give your email address to Pastor Nancy or Judy Pierson by January 31^st.
