Opportunities to Grow, Serve & Share

North Highland United Methodist Church, in conjunction with the leaders of Spirit Lake Ministry, is once again inviting us to participate in the Shoebox Christmas Project. Shoeboxes and donations need to be delivered to North Highland by November 21^st. Please have the shoeboxes to the church by Sunday, November 18^th so they can be delivered on time to Aberdeen. Thank you in advance for your generosity and your willingness to reach out to those in need.

Our annual Charge Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, November 14^th. Britton United Methodist Church will be the hosting church this year. A meal will be served beginning at 6pm. The meeting will follow at 7pm. Everyone is invited (Britton, Claremont & Hecla folks) to attend and be a part of the planning of the church for the next year.

Reports for Charge Conference

To the chairs of Finance, Trustees, Christian Education, UMW and the Lay Servant Leader: annual reports for the Charge Conference are due in the church office by Monday, November 12^th. They may be emailed to the church at claremontumc@nvc.net or to Pastor Nancy at nancyserving@gmail.com or left on Pastor’s desk. 

Hecla United Methodist Church will be having their annual Fall Turkey Supper on Sunday, November 4^th from 5-7pm at the Hecla Community Center. There will also be a bake sale. Your invited to come and share in a time of food and fellowship.

Britton United Methodist Women will meet on Wednesday, November 7^th at 7:30pm. Please note the time change.

A new Bible Study will be starting on November 7^th at 7pm at the home of Bev Dinger in Hecla. The study will be on the “Basics of Christianity.” Mark your calendars and be sure to join this time of growing in your faith.

On Sunday, November 18^th, Britton United Methodist will be hosting the Britton Community Thanksgiving Service. Worship will be at 7pm and coffee and dessert will be served following the service. Please bring a nonperishable food item to give to the Food Pantry.

Tuesday, November 6^th our nation is given the opportunity to select the President, as well as many other political offices, of our great country. It is an honor, a privilege and an obligation for us as citizen of this great nation to vote. No matter what your ‘Party’ affiliation is it is important for each of us to participate. You are invited and encouraged to be in prayer over the next several days about the state of our nation, about the freedoms we enjoy, and for God’s guiding and discerning hand to be upon each of those who will be serving our country both now and after the election.
