The practice for the Britton Community Area Christmas Cantata will be on Wednesdays at in the choir room of the Britton-Hecla School. Practice will be every Wednesday until Dec. 21st.

Bishop’s Thanksgiving Offering
"We have some outstanding Native American Ministries throughout the Dakotas Conference. These ministries serve many but the need is so vast. During this season of Thanksgiving, prayerfully consider your gift for the people that have so little."  This year’s offering will be divided among Hope Center, Tree of Life Ministry, Spirit Lake Ministry, Southeast Pierre Community Center, Sioux Falls Community Shalom Zone -Wesley UMC, Four Winds Ministry, and Crow Creek Ministry. (Thanksgiving Offering will be received on Sunday,Nov.20th)Bishop Deborah Lieder Kiesey, Dakotas Conference 
Upcoming Events
Marshall County Ministerial invites you to attend the annual Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 20th at at First Lutheran Church. The offering will go to support the Marshall Co. Food Pantry as well as any non-perishable food items brought. Come and share in a time of worship and thanksgiving.

What’s your relationship with Jesus like? Explore the life of the apostle John and the legacy of love he left for future believers. John understood that relationship is the point, and he was uniquely chosen to receive the “Revelation” of Jesus Christ. Learn how Christ still desires this kind of love relationship with you. Wednesdays from at Britton UMC. 11/30 through 2/8. Please sign up on entry way bulletin board by Sunday 11/13. Books will be ordered for those signed up by 11/13 and will cost approximately $18 each. Come join us for this Beth Moore Bible Study!

The 10th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24th at , at the First Lutheran Church fellowship hall. Anyone looking for a place to enjoy a home cooked meal with friends and neighbors for the holiday is invited to attend. Please RSVP by Tuesday, Nov. 22nd to Dorothy Jones (448-5677), Dorothy Stillson (448-2647) or Becky Weber (448-2572 –day, or 2398 evening.)

Britton UMW will be meeting on Wed, Dec 7th at at Alice Moeckly’s home. Come and enjoy a time of fellowship with your sister’s in Christ.

Claremont UMC will be hosting their 3rd Annual Night of Music on Sunday, December 11, 2011. The evening will begin with at meal of turkey, dressing and all the trimmings and then followed with a time of Christmas Music.  Sign up sheets to help with the event and to provide food donations are on the entry way table. If anyone is interested in participating in the music portion of the evening, please contact Pastor Nancy (294-7388) or Carol Hanse (294-5369).

Britton UMC will be hosting their annual Advent Workshop on Sunday, Nov. 27th following the worship service. Adults and children are invited to attend and be a part of the fellowship with a potluck meal and in making Christmas Crafts and decorating the church for the Advent and Christmas Season.

Hecla UMC invites everyone to come and join the fun as we decorate the sanctuary for Advent and Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 3rd at .  A meal of turkey will be served and whatever anyone desires to bring to supplement the meal. Come and enjoy the fun and fellowship.

Marshall County Ministerial invites you to attend their annual Christmas Program on Wednesday, Dec. 21st at First Lutheran Church at . The Christmas Cantata “The Gift of Christmas” will be presented. Come and enjoy a time of beautiful music, fellowship and a filling of the Holy Spirit as we draw near to the time of celebrating Christ’s birth.

Youth of Britton, Claremont and Hecla are invited to attend a “Snow Camp” at Wesley Acres Dec. 27th through the 30th. Please let Pastor Nancy know as soon as possible if you are interested in attending this fun event.
