Opportunities to Serve
Christmas is just around the corner and so is the Shoebox Christmas Gift program for the Dakotas Conference. Last year, Shoebox Christmas provided just over 4000 Christmas gifts to children in our conference that might not have gotten a gift during Christmas. The program reaches five reservations, homeless shelters and local churches throughout our conference. It's easy and fun to donate. Just get an empty shoebox and wrap the bottom and top separately. Then fill it with lots of fun stuff, put a rubber band around it so the top stays on and take it to the collection point nearest you. All donations need to be at the church by November 17th so they can be taken to Aberdeen by the 21st for delivery to the various programs.
The practice for the Britton Community Area Christmas Cantata will be on Wednesdays at in the choir room of the Britton-Hecla School. Practice will be every Wednesday until Dec. 21st.
