Thoughts to Ponder
“I have learned to be content with whatever I have. I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry; of having plenty and of being in need.”
Philippians 4:11-12

Opportunities to Serve
Christmas is just around the corner and so is the Shoebox Christmas Gift program for the Dakotas Conference. The program reaches five reservations, homeless shelters and local churches throughout our conference. It's easy and fun to donate. Just get an empty shoebox and wrap the bottom and top separately. Then fill it with lots of fun stuff, put a rubber band around it so the top stays on and take it to the collection point nearest you. All donations need to be at the church by November 18th so they can be taken to Aberdeen by the 21st for delivery to the various programs.
The practice for the Britton Community Area Christmas Cantata will be on Wednesdays at in the choir room of the Britton-Hecla School. Practice will be every Wednesday until Dec. 21st.

Bishop’s Thanksgiving Offering

During this season of Thanksgiving, prayerfully consider your gift for the people that have so little."  This year’s offering will be divided among Hope Center, Tree of Life Ministry, Spirit Lake Ministry, Southeast Pierre Community Center, Sioux Falls Community Shalom Zone -Wesley UMC, Four Winds Ministry, and Crow Creek Ministry. (Thanksgiving Offering will be received on Sunday, Nov. 20th)
