Thoughts to Ponder
Faith is trusting what God has revealed in His Word and in the world. Both of which have ample testimony to the truth.
Women of First Lutheran Church are hosting a “Walk Thru Generations of Formal Wear” style show and luncheon supper on April 26, 2012 at . Tickets are $10 for the meal and style show and $8 for the style show only. Please call First Lutheran Church office at 448-5370 to reserve a ticket.

The final Sunday for Sunday School classes for the spring will be on May 6th at Britton UMC and Claremont UMC.

A special offering will be received today to support the Kids Against Hunger project. Yesterday members of our congregation gathered to package food for hungry children around the world. The food we packaged will be able to feed many children for many days and months. Thank you for your donation of time and money.

On Sunday, May 6th, Claremont UMC will recognize the seniors who are graduating during the worship service. Plan on attending and giving support to these young adults as they prepare to begin a new path in life.

The schedule UM Camps at Wesley Acres, Lake Poinsett and Storm Mountain are available. Make sure you pick up a brochure to see what exciting and fun camps are available for the youth. Scholarships are available from each of the churches as well as from the Conference Camping office. Please let Pastor Nancy know if you would like more information about the camps or about the scholarships that are available.

Sidewalk Sonday School will be coming to our churches this summer. The SWSS trailer and two teachers will be here the week of July 23-27th. Look for additional information in the newsletters to come. Please put it on your calendar and plan on helping with this opportunity to bring the name of Jesus into the lives of area children.
