 Opportunities to Grow, Serve & Share
On Saturday, April 28th the youth and adults of Britton, Claremont & Hecla are invited to participate in packaging food for starving children around the world at “Kids Against Hunger” in Aberdeen. We will be working from to . Set aside this time on your schedule and be part of this mission event. I pray that we will be able to go “en mass” and be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who will receive the food. 

On Sunday, April 29th a joint worship service is being planned. It will be held at Britton UMC and the service will be followed by a potluck meal. Beverages & plates will be provided by the host church. The worship team would also like to invite volunteers to join together from the three churches to present special music during worship. Please let Pastor Nancy or members of the worship team know if you would like to participate (Pam Moeckly, Vicki Renner, Vergie Wallace, Bev Dinger, Stephanie Frohling, Kathy Heinrich, Yvonne Gibbs, Carol Hanse, Geri Rasmussen & Judy Pierson).

On Sunday, April 22nd there will be a meeting for those desiring to become a member of the church. Come and have Coffee with the Pastor at at CUMC and find out about the UM denomination and membership in the church.

Women of First Lutheran Church are hosting a “Walk Thru Generations of Formal Wear” style show and luncheon supper on April 26, 2012 at . Tickets are $10 for the meal and style show and $8 for the style show only. Please call First Lutheran Church office at 448-5370 to reserve a ticket.

We will be receiving a special offering today to support Native American Awareness Sunday. Envelopes are included in the worship folder for your convenience. Prayerfully consider how you will respond to the call to support the Native American Ministries across the country and also support Native Americans who are desiring to go into ministry. Thank you in advance for your generosity. 

There will be no Sunday School at Claremont UMC on Sunday, April 29th due to the Joint worship service at at Britton UMC. Remember there will also be a potluck meal after worship. Come and join in this time of fellowship.

There will be a Lock In held at Claremont UMC for the youth of Britton-Claremont-Hecla for 7th thru Seniors on Friday, April 27th. The lock in begins at and will end after the mission project at Kids Against Hunger is completed. Please bring a Bible, sleeping bag and pillow, toiletries, warm clothing for outdoor activities, towels and wash cloths. DO NOT bring food, snacks, juice, soda or other food products. Cell phones will be turned off during the lock in. Come, gather and have fun as we prepare to be the hands of Jesus on Saturday.

Sunday May 6th will be the last day of Sunday School.  The Sunday School will be singing during church time and  awards will be given out also.
