Thoughts to Ponder
In Worship, we gather together in God’s presence. As a community, we praise God through music and share our joys and concerns through prayer. We listen for God’s Word to us through songs, scriptures and sermons. We respond to the Word with our heads, our hearts and our hands through the giving of our offerings and the renewal of our commitment to serve God in the world.

Christmas is just around the corner and so is the Shoebox Christmas Gift program for the Dakotas Conference. Last year, Shoebox Christmas provided just over 4000 Christmas gifts to children in our conference that might not have gotten a gift during Christmas. The program reaches five reservations, homeless shelters and local churches throughout our conference. It's easy and fun to donate. Just get an empty shoebox and wrap the bottom and top separately. Then fill it with lots of fun stuff, put a rubber band around it so the top stays on and take it to the collection point nearest you. One mother of an eight-year-old boy told us "Thank you so much! This is the first Christmas gift he has ever gotten." Here are some suggestions for your Shoebox Christmas Gift: Hot Wheel cars, Handheld Electronic Games, Dolls, Card Games, Coloring books, Beanie Babies, Colors, books, small tools and flashlights.
Marshall Co. Food Pantry will be hosting a winter coat/clothing give away on Nov. 3rd from and on Nov. 4-5th from -. Donations of new or gently used winter clothing are being requested. Please bring your donations to Britton UMC by Oct 31st. Please call Pam Price at 448-2248 with any questions/concerns. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

The practice for the Britton Community Area Christmas Cantata will begin on Wednesday, October 26th at in the choir room of the Britton-Hecla School. Practice will be every Wednesday until Dec. 21st.

Upcoming Events
