On Sunday, January 29^th a special offering will be received to support the Spirit Lake Ministry Center in Sheyenne, ND. Missionaries Mike & Libby Flowers will be giving the message on that Sunday. Plan on being there and be a part of God’s work in and through our churches and our conference.

Opportunities to Grow in Faith

The BCH Youth Group will meet on January 25^th at 6:30PM at Britton UMC. Mark your calendars and come be a part of the evening of fun.

There will one more leadership training opportunity provided  on Saturday, February 4^th from 9am-1pm at Claremont UMC. The training is from the Leadership Institute Pastor attended in September 2011. If you missed the first one, but would like to learn, contact Pastor Nancy to set a time up to watch the DVD portion of the training. Even if you missed the first one, you may still attend the second. Please let Pastor know if you will be attending so the appropriate amount of food will be available.

The Marshall County Cancer Support Group will meet on Sunday, January 22^nd at 7pm at the First Presbyterian Church. Pastor Terrill Sorenson from First Lutheran will speak to the group.

Marshall County Ministerial is sponsoring a one day retreat entitled “Walking Through the Old Testament” on Saturday, March 3^rd at First Lutheran Church in Britton, SD. This retreat is for ages kindergarten through fifth grade and for those in sixth grade and adults. This is an interactive study and is fun and will help you grow in your knowledge of the Old Testament. You will be mightily blessed by this retreat. The cost of the retreat is $20 for adults and $15 for children. Posters and registrations forms will be out soon.  

Feb. 11-- Debi Nixon, one of the executive directors at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas will be at The Faulkton United Church on Saturday, February 11, 2012. She will present a one-day workshop based on her book, Catch: Attracting and Connecting Visitors. If you have questions contact Bill Hoffman at revwilly3@gmail.com. Registration forms are also available in the entryway of each church. Pastor Nancy will be attending and invites others to join in this interesting topic.  The cost is $20 and includes the cost of snacks and lunch.
