Prayer list and announcements for December 4th



Opportunities to Serve
The practice for the Britton Community Area Christmas Cantata will be on Wednesdays at in the choir room of the Britton-Hecla School. Practice will be every Wednesday until Dec. 21st.

The Britton-Claremont-Hecla Youth group will be helping the Marshall County Food Pantry fill the Christmas boxes on Thursday, Dec. 15th. We will meet at the Britton Community Center at . After we are done, we will return to the church for snacks/beverages. Two or three adults are also invited to help out as the youth fill the boxes. Please let Pastor Nancy know as soon as possible if you will be able to attend so arrangements can be made to have enough assistance for the project.

What’s your relationship with Jesus like? Explore the life of the apostle John and the legacy of love he left for future believers. John understood that relationship is the point, and he was uniquely chosen to receive the “Revelation” of Jesus Christ. Learn how Christ still desires this kind of love relationship with you. Wednesdays from at Britton UMC. 11/30 through 2/8.

Britton UMW will be meeting on Wed, Dec 7th at at Alice Moeckly’s home. Come and enjoy a time of fellowship with your sister’s in Christ.

Claremont UMC will be hosting their 3rd Annual Night of Music on Sunday, December 11, 2011. The evening will begin with at meal of turkey, dressing and all the trimmings and then followed with a time of Christmas Music.  Sign up sheets to help with the event and to provide food donations are on the entry way table. If anyone is interested in participating in the music portion of the evening, please contact Pastor Nancy (294-7388) or Carol Hanse (294-5369).

Marshall County Ministerial invites you to attend their annual Christmas Program on Wednesday, Dec. 21st at First Lutheran Church at . The Christmas Cantata “The Gift of Christmas” will be presented. Come and enjoy a time of beautiful music, fellowship and a filling of the Holy Spirit as we draw near to the time of celebrating Christ’s birth.

Youth (grades 6-12) of Britton, Claremont and Hecla are invited to attend a “Snow Camp” at Wesley Acres Dec. 27th through the 30th. Please let Pastor Nancy know as soon as possible if you are interested in attending this fun event.

The children and youth of Claremont UMC will present their Christmas program during worship on Sunday, December 18th. Mark your calendars and be sure to be there to experience Christmas through the voices of the youth. A potluck lunch will follow the worship service.

The youth and children of Britton UMC will present their Christmas program on Sunday, December 18th at 7PM. Be sure to come and be a part of this celebration of Christmas lead by the children.

Hecla UMC & St. John’s Lutheran Sunday School children will present their Christmas program during worship at St. John’s () on Sunday December 18th. Be sure and attend and be inspired by the celebration of Christ’s birthday with the children.
