Prayer list and announcements for July 10

Volunteers are being sought to help with beginning the worship services in each church. The volunteer will begin the service by lifting the announcements, leading the congregation in the call to worship and reading scripture. Sign up sheets are on the entryway. Please prayerfully consider helping in this important task. Contact Pastor with any questions/concerns.

The UM Youth Mission trip is planned for August 7^th through August 10^th. Adults and young people (13 and older) are invited and encouraged to be a part of this time of serving others. We will leave at approximately 2PM on the 7^th and return on Wednesday morning after breakfast. Please contact Pastor Nancy by July 20^th to reserve your place on the team. Almost all of funds have been raised to cover the cost of the trip. We will need adults for supervision and to assist with transportation. Spirit Lake Nation Ministry Center is in need of food supplies, clothing and tools. If you have clean, gently used clothing, nonperishable food items or tools you would like to donate, please bring them to the church by August 4^th.

The Bishop’s Laity Gathering is on Saturday, July 30^th in Sioux Falls at First United Methodist Church. The topic for the day will be on worship. Volunteers are being sought to attend this Gathering with Pastor Nancy. We will be leaving around 6AM and returning that evening. It’s a wonderful opportunity to hear from a nationally recognized speaker on worship design. The cost is $25 for a team of one pastor and two laity and $10 for each additional person. Wednesday, July 13^th those interested in helping with worship planning are invited to attend a worship planning meeting at 7PM at Britton UMC. Representatives from all churches are encouraged to attend and help with this vital ministry of worship. We will work on planning worship for the next 6-8 weeks.
