Thoughts to Ponder
The world’s idea of joy is to have one’s fancy tickled, to be amused, to be made happy and merry whatever it takes. As long as people get their way, as long as things are rosy, then the world the world thinks there is cause for joy. In fact, from the opening chapters to the end of the Bible we find the opposite is true. When people get their way, when one’s sinful self directs life and actions to pursue joy and self satisfaction, misery and sorrow often follow. Sin and living in a sinful world interferes and hinders the joy God gives us to experience in our lives.
